Like clockwork without fail, both the young and old would hail –
To see the maggid, they would come every week.
From far and from near, from all over they’d appear –
To hear the maggid come and speak.

He spoke of learning better – the Torah’s every letter,
To help another Yid, and reach up higher.
His words were oh so precious – such warmth in his message,
The maggid’s words would always inspire.

A treasured word of Torah, the chain of our mesorah –
To do the very best we can is all we need to do.
Put forth your best in every test – is all Hashem requests.
That’s what makes the One Above so very proud of you.

One Shabbos in the heat, there was no one on the street.
He wonders if his drasha should be said in the shul.

Your words were oh so precious –
Such warmth in your message,”
